VisPro – Flexible RDX/HMX Plants with Advanced Recrystallisation

VisPro is Head Engineering’s platform for explosives production plants, covering solutions for both RDX/HMX and TNT. The VisPro RDX/HMX concept is designed to deliver high efficiency, flexibility and consistent product quality. The process is based on a Bachmann-type route, enabling high yield and significantly reduced nitric acid consumption compared to traditional direct nitration methods.

This proven chemistry is combined with proprietary recrystallisation technology, providing precise control of product purity, crystal quality and particle size distribution.

VisPro has been developed in collaboration with senior explosives experts with extensive experience from design, commissioning and operation of RDX/HMX plants worldwide. This operational know-how is integrated into the VisPro concept, together with Head Engineering’s multidisciplinary engineering, project execution and safety-by-design capabilities.
