VisPro TNT – Modern, Safe and Fully Integrated TNT Plants
VisPro is Head Engineering’s platform for explosives production plants, covering solutions for both RDX/HMX and TNT. The VisPro TNT concept is designed to deliver safe, efficient and fully integrated TNT production, from process concept to commissioning.
Head Engineering provides complete TNT plants for both greenfield installations and upgrades of existing facilities. Our scope typically includes process equipment, utilities, electrical and automation systems, as well as start-up and commissioning. Civil works and buildings are normally provided by local partners, while Head Engineering takes full responsibility for the process plant.
The VisPro TNT process is based on proven continuous nitration technology combined with modern reactor and separation design, advanced automation and a safety-by-design approach. We are also developing proprietary process improvements aimed at reducing environmental impact and improving resource efficiency, including solutions that enable recovery of valuable process chemicals and minimisation of challenging waste streams.
Together with senior TNT specialists, our team has delivered major modernisation projects and new installations in multiple countries, including capacity increases within existing footprints and upgrades to current safety and control standards.
